Bangkok and its suburbs remained blanketed in smog, with PM2.5 dust exceeding safe levels at 90 air-quality monitoring stations. Three areas in Bangkok were reported to be unhealthy

Pattaya police chief transferred for fining vape carrying Chinese tourists

A senior police sergeant major from Mueng Pattaya Police Station has been transferred to Chon Buri Police Headquarters after admitting he illegally fined Chinese tourists 30,000 baht for carrying vapes.

According to the minister of Tourism and Sports kh. Phiphat , and a famous lawyer , Thai police cannot arrest or fine foreign tourists who carry e-cigarettes. They can only report it to the court.

Police officers across the country are in the public spotlight right now, especially for their measures against e-cigarettes.

Thairath reported yesterday that police officers in the Isaan province of Ang Thong are taking e-cigarette cases more seriously. They raided a major vape shop in the province and seized over 1,000 vapes, vape juices, and cash, which were worth over 300,0000 baht.

Prayut tells everyone to calm down over Thai-Cambodian Muay Thai drama

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is telling everyone to calm down regarding the row that was sparked last week between Thailand and Cambodia over the origin of Muay Thai.

Cambodia, the host country of the 2023 SEA Games, changed the name of the kickboxing competition from Muay Thai to Kun Khmer and stated that the origin of Muay Thai is Cambodian. As a result, Thailand withdrew from the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).

Now, Thailand’s PM is telling everyone to calm down. He said:

“Muay Thai has long been a part of Thai culture and we are proud of it. But it is not necessary for us to quarrel with anyone. Nobody can take away what belongs to us. No matter what other people may say, it should not develop into a conflict. Let us end this bickering.”

Prayut added that arguing about Muay Thai’s origins on social media was “pointless.”

At the event, Prayut showed off his own Muay Thai skills with fighters in front of a cheering crowd.

Crazy Russian bites off British woman’s finger in Ko Pha Ngan bean bag row

A leisurely stroll on a Thai beach with two friends and a dog bizarrely evolved into a scene from a horror movie after a crazy Russian woman went berserk, chomped on a British woman’s finger and spat it out.

The British woman was walking her dog with a German friend on a beach on Ko Pha Ngan Island when they spotted an unoccupied bean bag chair next to a couple of tourists. They decided to take a break, enjoy a drink, and lie down for a bit.

But a Russian woman, identified as Vavara G, wasn’t happy about the arrangement and an argument broke out with the British woman, Angelina H.

A Koh Raham beach club waiter intervened and allowed the 42 year old British woman to take the bean bag

She thought that the argument was over but the angry Russian lady had other ideas and attacked Angelina. She grabbed Angelina’s hand and bit the tip of her middle finger off.

The British ladies friend found the fingertip in the sand and console her friend, who was in a state of shock. Meanwhile, Vavara and her unnamed partner tried to flee but were quickly apprehended by nearby police officers.
