Pattaya transwomen steals motorcycle and phone from Russian man

Two Thai transwomen stole a motorcycle and a mobile phone from a Russian man in Pattaya on March 8 after he became intoxicated.

The Russian victim, 47 year old Ivan Teplov, filed a complaint with officers at Mueang Pattaya Police Station. He reported that his DPX Drone motorcycle, registration number 4 กฮ 8487 Chon Buri, was taken along with a dark blue iPhone 11 that was stored in the vehicle.

Teplov told police the incident happened outside a convenience store in Soi Phra Tamnak 5. He said he drank alcohol with a group of Thai transwomen outside the shop until he was drunk.

The suspects then took a motorcycle key he had hanging around his neck and drove away. His iPhone was inside the motorcycle’s storage compartment.

Police reviewed security camera footage from the area and saw two transgender suspects travelling together on the stolen motorcycle.

According to the footage, one suspect was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and white flipflops, with black hair. The second was wearing a black mini dress and had long blond hair.

Footage from outside the convenience store showed Teplov drinking with the transwomen. One of the suspects was seen searching him for belongings after he became intoxicated.

The suspects’ identities were visible in the video, but officers had not reported any arrests at the time of the report.

In a similar case reported last week, four Thai nationals were arrested after attempting to steal a gold necklace from an Indian man in Pattaya. The suspects included two Thai women, one Thai transwoman and a male delivery rider.

A hotel security guard and witnesses intervened, leading to the suspects being arrested, although they denied the allegation.

In another case reported yesterday, March 15, a transwoman was arrested for robbing a Japanese man at a hotel in Pattaya. Police said the suspect returned 9,000 baht in cash to the victim after the arrest, but this did not affect the legal process.
