High drama unfolded on the streets of Pattaya as a row turned deadly, leaving a motorbike taxi driver savagely struck down with a concrete block.

In the hustle of Central Pattaya, an early morning clash spiraled into horror when a motorbike taxi driver was left fighting for life after a brutal concrete block attack. The fracas erupted at 9am, yesterday February 27, leading to a frantic scene on Soi Arunothai 2.

Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre rushed to the site, finding chaos and concern etched into the faces of onlookers.

At the centre of it all lay the victim, a 28 year old known only as Paisan, sprawled beside a marble table, his life hanging by a thread.

Unconscious and with blood pooling, the situation was dire: a grim head injury coupled with a nasty gash on his thigh left him unresponsive. Quick-thinking rescuers performed CPR before whisking him to Pattaya City Hospital.

Nearby, a concrete block lay stained with the markings of violence. The alleged assailant, 36 year old Sittharacha, didn’t flee. H waited to face the music, confessing to the police on-site.

His side of the story painted a picture of self defence: according to Sittharacha, Paisan, allegedly drunk, launched into a tirade of insults and aggression.

Feeling threatened, Sittharacha claimed he used the concrete block to fend off his attacker, delivering three fateful blows, including to the head, before seeking help, reported Pattaya News.

Adding to the drama, the apartment owner vouched for Sittharacha’s account, describing Paisan as a known troublemaker. His penchant for booze-fuelled antics and hurling jibes at everyone in earshot was no secret. Eyewitnesses agreed, noting that Paisan seemed to light the fuse on this explosive confrontation.

Now, with Sittharacha facing charges of causing grievous harm, police comb through the details, piecing together the tangle that turned two neighbours into sudden adversaries.

Paisan’s fate, as he battles for life in hospital, adds a sombre note to the drama.
