Drunk motorcyclist crashes into Honda bike in Pattaya, 2 injured

A collision involving two motorcycles in the early hours of the morning in Pattaya resulted in injuries to two individuals. The Nong Prue Police Station was alerted to the incident at 1am yesterday, January 3, which took place on Soi Khao Talo 10 in Bang Lamung district. The police, in collaboration with the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation, promptly responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a red Yamaha Mio motorcycle turned over and significantly damaged. Its driver, 42 year old Chaiwat, appeared to be under the influence and sustained a serious head injury. The second vehicle, a white Honda Wave 125i, also lay overturned with substantial damage to the front end. The Honda driver, 41 year old Sathaporn, suffered minor injuries. An additional male passenger on this bike had abrasions and swelling on his left leg.

The rescue team administered first aid to the injured individuals before transporting them to a nearby medical facility for further treatment.

Sathaporn recounted that he was traveling straight on the road when Chaiwat, allegedly speeding, abruptly veered into his lane, leading to the collision. Police are currently examining CCTV footage to assess the situation for any potential legal proceedings, reported The Pattaya News.
