The serene stillness of a Bangkok morning was disrupted by the shocking act of some twins shooting a fellow teenager, leading to his untimely demise. The twins, known as Yossakorn and Yossaphon, both 19 years old, have been apprehended by the Prawet Police. The arrest, which occurred on November 5, came on the heels of a fatal altercation on On Nut Road in Prawet the previous day.

A handgun, believed to be the murder weapon, was confiscated from the twins. The victim of this tragic incident, referred to as Koonsap, was also 19 years old. The bullet wound he incurred resulted in severe injuries which, despite the best efforts of the local medical staff, proved fatal.

Koonsap’s friend, 19 year old Sompop (surname withheld), witnessed the terrifying incident. He had been driving a motorbike, with Koonsap as his passenger, when they encountered the twins. The twins, also on a motorbike, veered their way and inquired about their school.

A misunderstanding led to hostility when Koonsap responded that they were not students, a statement that the twins did not believe. The situation rapidly escalated, culminating in one of the twins brandishing a firearm and shooting Koonsap.

In a show of responsibility, the twins’ father escorted his sons to the police station. The father confirmed that his sons were indeed students at a local technical school, though the institution’s name was not disclosed, reported Pattaya News.

Upon interrogation, Yossaphon, the older twin, admitted to the police that he had been overcome by a rush of anger upon setting eyes on the victim. Although he had no concrete reason for his anger, he had pulled the trigger, claiming it was an act of self-defence. He confessed that he believed Koonsap and his friend were about to attack him.

Yossaphon was under the mistaken impression that the victim was a student of a rival technical school. The victim, however, was unarmed, casting a shadow on Yossaphon’s claim of self-defence.
