A man was found grieving over his wife’s body after a heated argument earlier in the day, following her secret borrowing of money from loan sharks. The incident led to a tragic end when she was found dead inside her car.

Police received a report at 5pm yesterday, August 10, about a woman’s body discovered in a car parked near a pond within a university in Wang Taku, Mueang Nakhon Pathom district. Police Lieutenant Pisarn Ruanphan, Deputy Inspector of the Nakhon Pathom City Police Station, along with Police Colonel Phoophon Supacharoen and a rescue team from the Suksalanukroh Foundation, promptly arrived at the scene.

The black Mazda 2, with Bangkok license plates, was found locked with all four doors secured. Inside the vehicle, a 37 year old woman, from Bang Khaem, Mueang Nakhon Pathom district, was lying motionless in the driver’s seat. A charcoal stove was placed on the front left footwell. A note expressing love for her children was discovered and kept as evidence.

Shortly thereafter, a 40 year old man, identifying himself as the woman’s husband, arrived at the scene. Overcome with grief, he embraced his deceased wife and recounted the events leading to her death.

He revealed that they had a severe argument around noon because he found out she had secretly borrowed money from loan sharks and was unable to repay it, resulting in debt collectors coming to their home.

The confrontation caused her immense stress, leading her to drive away from the house. He received a call later, informing him of her death, reported KhaoSod.

Preliminary investigations suggest that personal stress was the primary cause of the incident. The police will continue their legal proceedings and have sent the body for an autopsy at Nakhon Pathom Hospital before releasing it to the family for religious rites.
