Qatar Airways launches thrice daily flights to Phuket

Qatari flag carrier Qatar Airways is launching three flights per day between Doha and Phuket in southern Thailand starting today, February 1, to meet the ever-growing demand.

The additional flights bring the airline’s number of services to Thailand up to seven per day, including four flights to and from Bangkok.

Doha is a major Middle Eastern transport hub and most of the passengers flying to Thailand from Doha have flown in from London, Manchester, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, and New York.

The expansion in Qatar Airways’ services to Thailand is significant, offering greater convenience and connectivity for travellers from 150 destinations around the world.

Phuket’s tourism industry will be bustling thanks to both Qatar Airways and five airlines that launched direct services between Phuket and various locations in China last week.

Airlines are also expanding services to Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, including China Airlines which started direct services between Chiang Mai and Taipei recently and Thai Vietjet which will launch a direct flight between Chiang Mai and Osaka this month.
