Villagers from a community in Bo Thong sub-district, Kabin Buri district, led by the elder people yesterday, gathered with offerings of flowers, incense, and candles to perform a ceremony, asking for blessings from the local deities to bestow fortune upon them.

After about an hour, a swarm of bees emerged, with the queen bee pushing out four pieces of paper with numbers that had been previously placed into the hive.

The numbers revealed—1, 6, 9, 8—were met with excitement as villagers captured the moment on their phones to use these numbers for the upcoming lottery draw. The ritual reflects a deep-rooted belief in the supernatural and the desire for prosperity, which remains a vibrant part of local culture.
