In a dramatic swoop, Thai immigration officers uncovered an alleged American pedophile in the unsuspecting town of Nakhon Ratchasima after police discovered the 57 year old had overstayed his visa.

Overstaying his welcome by far more than a few days, the man, named Negri, is a key suspect on the FBI’s radar, hunted down for harrowing charges encompassing child exploitation and the vile distribution of child porn across state lines in Georgia.

The carefully orchestrated arrest unfolded courtesy of the sharp-eyed officers from the Immigration Bureau’s Investigation Division 4.

With an elusive tip-off thanks to an undercover informant, officials were hot on the trail of the dubious character skulking about in the Nong Bua Sala area. Their relentless watch paid off, pinning the alleged child sex offender down near a sleepy bypass road.

The flustered American claimed his passport was supposedly off to the US Embassy for renewal but when pressed, he produced nothing to prove his lawful presence.

Whisked away to the Nakhon Ratchasima Immigration Office, the undeniable truth emerged: his visa had expired, solidifying his illegal status.

The Thai authorities immediately liaised with the US Embassy and the FBI, unravelling Negri’s shadowy past. Alarm bells rang when they discovered he was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant in Georgia, facing grisly charges of child exploitation and the production of child pornography, reported ASEAN Now

Once Thai justice has taken its due course, this international fugitive will be deported back to face the music in the US. There, a legal whirlwind is expected to descend as the American justice system takes its turn.

This high-profile arrest sends an unequivocal message: Thailand is no haven for foreign lawbreakers and will resolutely continue its crackdown on those flouting immigration laws.
