Yesterday, August 25, Police Major General Prasong Anomanee, Deputy Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 9, along with other senior police officers, confirmed the arrest of Mew. The arrest was made under a warrant issued by the Thonburi Criminal Court on August 24.

Subsequent investigations revealed that Mew had poured alcohol on the head of his wife, referred to as B (alias), before setting her alight. B sustained injuries to her face and body and was rushed to Siriraj Hospital by rescue workers. Due to the severity of her injuries, she has been unable to provide any testimony.

The motive behind the brutal attack was reportedly a love triangle involving Mew and his wife. It was discovered that Mew and his brother were both romantically involved with the same woman, leading to escalating tensions.

Police pursued Mew across various locations. They also contacted his relatives to persuade him to surrender to the police. Following discussions with his family, Mew agreed to turn himself in after speaking with Police Colonel Pramote Janboonkaew.
