Bang Lamung police arrest drug suspect with meth in Takhian Tia
Bang Lamung police investigators arrested a drug suspect on September 13 in the Takhian Tia area of Bang Lamung, Chon Buri. The suspect, identified as Anan, was found with 72 methamphetamine pills and 13.81 grammes of crystal methamphetamine in his possession.
The arrest stemmed from an earlier bust on August 12, when Bang Lamung officers detained three individuals. These individuals, whose names were withheld by the police, had 227 methamphetamine pills, 0.44 grammes of crystal methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Their testimonies led investigators to Anan, who was reportedly selling drugs to local youths in the area.
The three suspects provided valuable information that linked us to Anan. This crucial lead enabled the police to track Anan’s activities, which culminated in his arrest. During the apprehension, officers discovered the drugs hidden in Anan’s pants, reported The Pattaya News.
Anan reportedly confessed to being the supplier for the previously arrested suspects and acknowledged ownership of the seized drugs. Following his arrest, officers escorted Anan to the Bang Lamung Police Station for further legal proceedings.
In related news, a drug bust by the Phuket Provincial Police has led to the arrests of three individuals and the seizure of over 15,000 methamphetamine pills, along with various items under the Narcotics Control Act. The total estimated value of the seized items exceeds 387,000 baht.
The arrests were executed by officers under the leadership of the Chief of the Crime Suppression Division at Phuket Provincial Police, Phichit Thongto.
Among the arrested, 40 year old Mongkol Singharat was apprehended near the entrance to the Third Area Command official residence in Wichit. Authorities found him in possession of 72 methamphetamine pills and 19.94 grammes of crystal meth.
Items confiscated during his arrest included two digital scales, drug-taking paraphernalia, a mobile phone, and a Yamaha motorcycle valued at approximately 40,000 baht. Additionally, a gold necklace valued at 120,000 baht, two gold rings worth 80,000 baht and 40,000 baht respectively, and 17,320 baht in cash were seized.
