Lady Butcher at The District Grill Room and Bar

If you’re after a steak dinner that’s more than just a meal, this is it. This Friday, The District Grill Room & Bar at Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit is teaming up with Lady Butcher, Thailand’s queen of dry-aged beef, for a one-night-only five-course dinner.
Chef Nattida Noo-In, better known as Lady Butcher, has built a name for herself by perfecting the art of dry-ageing beef and bringing bold, Thai-inspired flavours to the steakhouse scene.
It starts with smoked river prawns on mini rice crackers, topped with a kaffir lime burrata espuma and Oscietra caviar. Then comes Isan-style beef carpaccio, sliced impossibly thin, cured just right, with a tamarind reduction, toasted rice powder, and truffle-mayo. Somewhere between indulgent and effortless.
The seafood course is grilled wild-caught sea bass, wrapped in banana leaves, with a black sticky rice risotto that tastes like coconut and galangal. Then, the reason you’re here: dry-aged Wagyu sirloin, grilled over tamarind wood charcoal, served with Isaan Jeaw sauce, roasted garlic jus, and sweet potato purée.
Dessert is a little dramatic, with strawberry yogurt gelato, topped with rose petals frozen in liquid nitrogen.
