On 17 September, all eyes will be on centralwOrld, the global lifestyle destination in the heart of the city, as it joins the biggest global moment of Gumball 3000 to welcome a caravan of supercars on the Saigon-Singapore rally route. The supercar rally is said to highlight the Bangkok premier shopping mall as the landmark of world-class events all year round, delivering great travel experiences and lifestyles that attract both Thai and international visitors

Thailand is one of the rally destinations and centralwOrld has been chosen as a pitstop for the caravan of supercars for everyone to see up close at Square A, B, and C in front of centralwOrld, starting from 5pm onwards.

There will be 250 participants and 120 supercars in the Gumball 3000 rally to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this legendary supercar racing event on this challenging route.

Here are the things that you need to know before attending Gumball 3000 x centralwOrld.

The Gumball 3000 is a global rally that brings together luxury supercars and superstars from all over the world to take on an adventure journey, covering more than 4,900 kilometres in total. In 2024, the Gumball 3000 will mark its 25th anniversary with the route starting in Saigon, Vietnam and ending at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Singapore.

The event brings together the world’s most luxurious supercars in one place, such as Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, Ferrari 812 GTS, Ferrari 812 Competizione, Ferrari F8 Spider⁠, Ferrari 575M, Maranello F1. It features the biggest gathering of rare Ferraris and Lamborghinis. The event could also be the first time you will be able to see a Tesla Cyber Truck on the streets of Bangkok.

Gumball 3000 brings together participants from various industries from all over the world such as Maximillion Cooper, the British Gumball 3000 founder, who will be driving a Lamborghini SVJ with JWW, and automotive influencers in addition to famous superstars

IShowSpeed, the popular American streamer will be driving a Lamborghini Huracan STO and Patrice Evra, the former Manchester United and France footballer, who will show up in his Rolls Royce Cullinan.

The world’s best automobiles will be on display on 17 September, with two extremely rare Lamborghini models: the Revuelto and Diablo. A perfect combination of performance and cutting-edge technology of the ‘legendary raging bull’, worth hundreds of millions of baht will be on display in front of centralwOrld.

From Bangkok, travelling to the South, heading to Krabi Province from 18 to 19 September, Gumball 3000 will culminate in a charity event at Ko Panyi Floating Football Pitch, Phang Nga Bay. The Gumball 3000 Foundation will make donations to repair the football pitch and there will be a football show by freestyle football world champion Séan Garnier.

In addition, participants will get to learn more about the culture and lifestyle of the Ban Koh Klang community in Krabi province and also learn about elephant conservation at the Krabi Elephant Hospital. This will be the second time that Gumball 3000 has visited Thailand, with its first journey through Thailand back in 2006.

The origin of the name ‘Gumball 3000’ can be traced back to Andy Warhol, who described a gumball as similar to chewing a piece of gum – people do it because they want to; there is no complex reason. Gumball 3000 is a gathering of people who want to have fun and live a life full of excitement; there is no other reason than to have fun.

The number ‘3000’ refers to the distance that participants have to drive, which is approximately 3,000 miles (approximately 4,900 kilometres) through several countries on a route that changes every year, making the event filled with challenges and new experiences for participants.

Before the wheels start turning on September 18, a party will rage on from 3pm to 10pm, featuring music from popular DJs with various activities offering unique experiences for all visitors. The party is poised to connect people of all backgrounds through a common love for all things cars.
