Indian food reimagined: INDDEE restaurant review
A concise and unbiased review
Tucked away in a small alley in the heart of Bangkok in a beautiful 100-year-old villa, we found INDDEE, a fine-dining and one Michelin star restaurant offering modern, Indian-inspired gastronomy.
INDDEE’s set menu showcases India’s diverse flavours and culinary delights, taking you on a journey across the Indian continent to taste the region’s much loved dishes with a creative and unique twist.
There are three tasting menu journeys available:
- 7 destination journey – 3500 THB ++
- 9 destination journey – 4200 THB ++
- 9 destination vegetable journey – 3500 THB ++
We chose the 9 destination journey and it did not disappoint! Our taste buds were transported to 9 different destinations across India and each dish tells a story, starting in the Ancient South before chillies were introduced by the Portuguese around the 15th century, to Goa when vinegar was introduced, and finally ending in Kashmir with a sweetened and stuffed morel, a rare and highly sought-after delicacy and type of mushroom grown in the forests.
There was a great variety of seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes, including some of my personal favourites – the Spanish Carabinero, buttered and peppered crab, and sweet potato with cherries and cardamom croissant.
The cocktails offered a south Asian spin on the classics (think old fashioned with a rose infusion), and the extensive wine cellar offers an award-winning list by the glass or bottle.
The impeccable service team enhances the overall experience with attentive, professional, and knowledgeable service. We will definitely return and have already recommended INDDEE to our family and friends!
