Thunderstorms and haze forecasted across Thailand’s provinces

The Meteorological Department has forecasted thunderstorms in 12 provinces, affecting 20% of the area. Northern Thailand is experiencing high temperatures and haze, with Bangkok expected to reach 38 degrees Celsius (°C) today, March 23.

Moderate easterly winds are affecting the Gulf of Thailand, the South, and the Andaman Sea, leading to isolated thunderstorms in the southernmost provinces. The lower Gulf of Thailand experiences moderate waves of 1 to 2 metres, while the upper Gulf and Andaman Sea have waves around 1 metre. During thunderstorms, waves can exceed 2 metres.
