A Thai woman took to social media seeking help after her ex-boyfriend stalked and physically assaulted her and her family members over the past two years, with the police neglecting her case.

The victim, identified only as May, shared her story with the Facebook page Esor News 3 after her ex-boyfriend, Deer, continued to evade capture despite years of abuse. She revealed that she filed complaints with both Wangthonglang and Udomsuk Police Stations, but no action had been taken.

May explained that she met her boyfriend at the end of 2022 while she was buying products on the pavement with her sister. Deer approached her, asked for her contact details, and later became her boyfriend.

According to May, Deer displayed abusive behaviour during the first month of their relationship. He always beat her up in anger in front of her three year old son. The boy was sometimes injured in the incidents as well. She then broke up with him and moved to stay with her sister.

However, Deer managed to find her, broke into her accommodation, physically assaulted her and allegedly shaved her hair. May’s sister attempted to help her but she was overpowered by the ex-boyfriend.

May had previously endured physical assaults on three occasions. Her ex-husband, who resides in Nakhon Pathum, was also attacked by Deer.

The most recent incident occurred on July 16, when Deer appeared at May’s workplace and stared at her. She decided to leave and return home immediately but Deer followed her to the residence where she lives with her sister.

Upon arrival, Deer demanded that her sister pack up May’s belongings and insisted that May move in with him. May refused, and while Deer allowed her to leave that day, she is now fearful that he may return and escalate his actions.

According to May, Deer has a history of drug use and gambling addiction. He brutally assaulted her many times before. She hoped police would take her case more seriously and bring Deer to justice as soon as possible.
