Motorcycle accident near Khuan Pao plantation ends in fatality
A motorcycle accident occurred, resulting in a fatal collision with a pickup truck near the entrance to the Khuang Pao plantation. This event took place in Pong Saen Thong, Mueang district, Lampang yesterday. January 3. Natthanant Kitpatamanont, the Deputy Investigation Officer of Khelang Nakhon Police Station in Lampang, was notified of the accident.
At the scene of the accident, a red Honda PCX motorcycle was found severely damaged and lying in the middle of the road. The body of an unidentified male motorcyclist was discovered at the crash site.
A pickup truck with a smashed left windshield was found nearby. The vehicle, registered with the license plate ยห 8765 Nakhon Ratchasima, had multiple signs of damage including a shattered headlight and a detached bumper, reported Khao Sod. The driver, Porn Tormkaew, was waiting at the scene.
Initial investigations predict that the motorcyclist was driving on the wrong side of the road, leading to the collision with the pickup truck. Police will continue to gather evidence and further investigate the incident.
In related news, in a tragic incident in Pathum Thani, a Surin native met a fatal end as his motorcycle collided with a barrier on an elevated bridge. The incident, reported at 2.30am, prompted an investigation by Police Lieutenant Gunsak Kongprasert of Khu Khot Police Station.
The motorcycle, a white and red Honda Click with a Surin license plate, was found against the bridge’s concrete barrier, showing damage to the left headlight. The victim, identified as 22 year old Thitinun, was discovered at the lower level near the entrance of Phaholyothin 71 Alley.
His body, showing signs of injury, was sent for autopsy at Phoomipol Adulyadej Hospital. Police are in the process of contacting Thitinun’s relatives to claim the body for religious rites. This tragedy follows another fatal collision on Phra Ruang Bridge in Bangkok, claiming one life and severely injuring another.
