To combat the severe drought gripping Hua Hin, Mayor Nopporn Wutthikul spearheaded a meeting with local government officials to discuss immediate relief and long-term fixes for the parched populace, especially in Khao Takiap.

Joined by Deputy Mayor Atichat Chaisri and a cadre of civic bigwigs, the summit centred on the dwindling water levels at the Hua Na reservoir. These plummeting levels have thrown a wrench into normal water distribution, leaving many households high and dry.

To offer a lifeline to the worst-hit areas like Khao Takiap, Hua Don, and Hua Thanon, Mayor Nopporn swiftly greenlit the setup of a temporary water station at the Wat Khao Krailas police booth.

Residents grappling with the water woes are urged to bring their issues to the Khao Takiap Police Booth, where a water service truck will be on standby daily from 9am to 4pm, ready to quench their thirst.

Moreover, Mayor Wutthikul underlined the pivotal role of the waterworks department in keeping the public informed and reassured. With a call for diligence and patience, officials are urged to weather the storm alongside citizens, reported Hua Hin Today.

Long-term plans to tackle the ongoing drought are still in discussion.
