Volunteer police in serious conidtion after being shot in his private part

An e-cigarette seller shot two police officers during a sting operation outside a convenience store in the central province of Pathum Thani yesterday, June 29, before managing to escape arrest. One of the officers suffered a serious gunshot wound to his genital area.
Customers and staff at the convenience store, along with diners at a nearby restaurant, rushed to find shelter after the shooting erupted at around 2pm. Two men were injured at the scene, while the gunman and an accomplice escaped in their grey sedan.
Officers from Pak Khlong Rangsit Police Station later reported that the incident stemmed from an undercover operation to arrest an e-cigarette vendor, identified as Naphonphak “Toon” Fakfueangboon, also known online as Toon Por Chor Nor 3.

The two injured men were 28 year old Police Sergeant Autsanai and volunteer officer Apichai. Autsanai was shot in the left arm and right leg, while Apichai sustained a critical injury after being shot in his genitalia.
According to a report by Channel 8, Autsanai had posed as a parcel delivery rider to make a purchase from the suspect. The officer placed an order for e-cigarettes online and arranged to meet the seller at the location where the shooting later occurred.

Unfortunately, the suspect reportedly recognised Autsanai’s true identity, which led to an argument and the subsequent shooting. Apichai intervened to assist Autsanai, but was shot in the process.
Naphonphak and his associate later abandoned their grey sedan at a garage on Songprapa Road in Bangkok’s Don Mueang area. The vehicle bore multiple bullet holes, and bloodstains were visible on the driver’s seat. Witnesses said the pair exited the car carrying a mobile phone, a firearm, and a wallet.

Channel 8 further reported that Naphonphak had previously been arrested and imprisoned for multiple offences. After his release, he reinvented himself as a YouTuber, sharing his prison experiences and advising others not to follow the same path. Despite his warnings, he returned to criminal activity by illegally distributing e-cigarettes.
