Overseas Cathay members are in for a treat as Cathay and Siam Piwat unveil an exciting enhancement to their partnership. The new scheme allows members to convert ONESIAM Coins to Asia Miles, offering unprecedented rewards both on the ground and in the air.

Imagine strolling through the bustling malls of Bangkok and effortlessly converting your shopping rewards into travel perks. Thanks to this seamless integration, members can enjoy exclusive benefits at four of Thailand’s most popular shopping destinations: ICONSIAM, Siam Paragon, Siam Centre, and Siam Discovery.

Dominic Perret, Cathay’s Regional General Manager for Southeast Asia, expressed his enthusiasm.

“We are thrilled to extend this initiative beyond Thailand. As a premium travel lifestyle brand, we continuously seek ways to enhance our members’ experiences.

“This partnership provides the convenience and flexibility of two-way points conversion, offering the best of both worlds—exclusive benefits in Bangkok and access to Cathay’s extensive range of curated products and experiences globally.”

Members from selected countries can now enjoy the ease of converting points even before they arrive in Thailand. Initially launched in August last year for Thai members only, the expanded partnership demonstrates Cathay’s commitment to enhancing its lifestyle offerings and providing more ways to earn and use Asia Miles worldwide.

Through the ONESIAM SuperApp, members can access discount codes, bonus points, and exclusive tourist privileges such as gift cards and special offers from over 100 stores, valid until July 31. ONESIAM members, in turn, can convert their ONESIAM Coins to Asia Miles, unlocking a world of travel and lifestyle rewards, reported Travel Daily News.

Cathay’s collaboration with Siam Piwat is part of a broader strategy to offer cross-border points conversion opportunities. Members can also enjoy similar benefits through partnerships with shopping outlets in Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Europe, and the Chinese Mainland.

In related news, Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific Airways announced a windfall for its staff, showering them with a bonus equal to 7.2 weeks’ pay.
