Affair-raising evidence: Ex-husband uncovers deputy’s hug scandal
A Chinese man demanded an investigation into an affair between his Thai ex-wife and a deputy attorney general, providing a photograph of the two hugging as evidence.
The adultery case involving a Chinese man named Ken, his ex-wife Ava, and her lover Mark came to light when Ken decided to seek justice. He brought the matter to renowned Thai lawyer Sittra Biabangkoed and revealed the entire story to the public.
According to Ken, Ava deceived him into signing the divorce papers. Following the divorce, Ava began transferring cash and valuables worth over 100 million baht from their shared home. Ken later found out that Ava had been unfaithful and was having an affair with Mark. It is reported that she moved in with Mark shortly after the divorce.
As the story gained public attention, Mark’s ex-wife came forward to reveal that he had also tricked her into divorcing him. Despite their divorce, they continued to live together in the same home, and she only recently learned about Ava, leaving her feeling profoundly betrayed.
Mark’s ex-wife further disclosed that he had borrowed more than 10 million baht from her mother and had a history of doing the same with several other women.
The complicated situation involving the four remains unresolved but Ken recently discovered that the deputy attorney general is also implicated in the affair. Consequently, Ken and his lawyer visited the Office of the Attorney General yesterday, September 25, to file a formal complaint.
Behind divorce trick
According to Sittra, the deputy attorney general was a lover of Ava’s. She began a relationship with him around May this year, shortly after her divorce from Ken. Ken found a photograph of the two embracing, which he presented as evidence.
Sittra added that a witness to Ava’s secret relationship with the official informed him that the deputy attorney general helped Ava in her plan to deceive Ken into the divorce. The official even purchased a luxury BMW Z4 for Ava.
Ken and Sittra have called on the Office of the Attorney General to investigate the secret relationship and take action against the official if found guilty. Sittra also mentioned that the deputy attorney general is currently under another investigation for bribery.
A spokesperson for the Office of the Attorney General, Prayut Phetchakhun, emphasised that Ken’s complaint is a significant and urgent matter. He promised to investigate the case and provide updates to Ken and his lawyer. However, he could not confirm the timeline for the investigation.
UPDATE 1: Ex-posed drama: Thai woman hits back at cheating claims by ex
A Thai woman denied accusations made by her Chinese ex-husband that she cheated, tricked and stole from him, asserting that all the assets she took rightfully belonged to her. She countered his claim and accused her ex of running illegal businesses in Thailand.
The Chinese man, Ken, sought legal advice from lawyer Sittra Biabangkoed on Wednesday, September 11, claiming that his Thai wife, later identified as Ava, cheated on him and disappeared with her lover, taking assets worth over 100 million baht.
Ken stated that Ava tricked him into signing divorce papers, claiming she wanted to become a Member of Parliament and could not be married to a foreigner. Wanting to support her, Ken signed the documents.
However, Ava allegedly transferred cash and valuables from their shared home before disappearing with her lover Mark at the beginning of the month.
In addition to discovering the identity of her lover, Ken also learned that he held only a 1% share in the businesses he operated with Ava. The remaining 99% of the company shares belonged to her.
Ava later attended a phone interview with Channel 3 yesterday, September 12, to defend herself. She insisted that everything Ken told the public was false, and that she had documents and evidence to prove her innocence.
Ava then accused Ken of running illegal businesses, claiming that all the money Ken transferred to her bank accounts was not his income but other people’s money. However, she did not elaborate further on the matter.
Lack of support
Ava stated that Ken only ran small businesses that did not generate enough income to support the family, so all the family expenses were covered by her income.
Ava added that she agreed to share some of the assets with Ken but emphasised that the family had more debt than assets. Therefore, she said, the court would decide how much Ken could claim.
The news programme host then allowed Ken to ask Ava a question. Ken asked whether Ava tricked him into signing the divorce papers. Ava responded that she did not trick him. She asked for a divorce because they no longer loved each other and Ken signed the papers because he did not love her either.
Ava also claimed that Ken never helped her with work, that he woke up late, played video games all day, did not take care of their child, and never provided her with any encouragement or support. She clarified that she had been divorced from Ken for a month before starting her relationship with Mark.
Mark reportedly married another woman and shared a child. Mark insisted that he already divorced his ex-wife but lived together for the child.
ORIGINAL STORY: Chinese man’s Thai wife flees with secret lover, 100m baht in assets
A Chinese man shared his heartbreaking story with the People’s Lawyer Team Foundation, explaining that his Thai wife cheated on him and left with assets worth over 100 million baht.
The Chinese man, Ken, spoke to the foundation’s lawyer and secretary, Sittra Biabangkoed today, September 11, seeking justice for himself and his child. He admitted that he had no Thai friends or acquaintances, prompting him to reach out to the foundation for assistance.
Ken explained that he had been in a relationship with his Thai wife for seven years before they officially married three years ago. They have a two year old son and their marriage seemed to be healthy until Ken returned to China in June this year.
Upon returning to his home in Thailand, Ken discovered that some of the shared assets, including 13 million baht in savings that he and his wife worked hard for had disappeared. Every time he left Thailand for China, he would return to see that many valuables were missing, leading to several arguments between them.
According to Ken, their relationship seemed to improve in July before his wife asked him for a divorce. She claimed she wanted to run for a seat in the General Election as a Member of Parliament, but could not do so if she was married to a foreigner.
Ken agreed to the divorce after she promised they would maintain their relationship as spouses. Despite this promise, his wife gradually moved more of her personal belongings and valuables out of the house. By September 4, everything was gone, including a collection of alcohol, clothes, and smaller items.
Wife’s lover
Ken reported that his wife had taken numerous valuable assets, including a pearl necklace, watches, designer bags, a house in both the Rama II and Sukhumvit areas, and a condominium in Sathon. The total value of all the assets exceeded 100 million baht.
On the day his wife moved everything out, a suspicious Thai man arrived at their home. Ken suspected him to be her lover and tried to confront him but the man refused to engage and quickly left in his car, followed by Ken’s wife.
Ken later investigated the man and found out he owned an aviation training centre. His mother met the man a few times before and was informed by a security guard that this man introduced himself as the husband of Ken’s wife and the owner of Ken’s home.
Ken also discovered that his wife had been living with this man at a condominium in the Thonglor area of Bangkok for a long time. He also found photos of the couple travelling together and purchasing a new car, making him feel confused and humiliated.
Ken made several attempts to retrieve his valuables from his ex-wife, but she refused. Unsure of his next steps, he decided to consult the foundation.
Sittra plans to accompany Ken in filing a theft complaint against his ex-wife and her lover. The lawyer added that since the properties were acquired during the marriage, Ken could pursue legal action to reclaim ownership.
