Singaporean wanted after Thai girlfriend found dead in Bangkok condo

Police are searching for a Singaporean man after his Thai girlfriend was found dead in the bathroom of a luxury condominium on Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok yesterday, March 26.
The naked body of the 30 year old woman, Proudphilas Paladon, was discovered in the bathroom of a unit on the 22nd floor of a condominium near Soi Sukhumvit 39 in the Watthana district of Bangkok yesterday. Her head was wrapped in a white cloth, while her body was covered with another white cloth and a blue blanket.
The first person to find her body was a friend who had lost contact with Proudphilas on the evening of Monday, March 24. The friend decided to report her missing to officers at Thong Lo Police Station and sought permission from the condominium management to check on Proudphilas in her room.
According to the friend, the room was left unlocked, and the air conditioning was still on. The friend noticed a trail of bloodstains leading to the bathroom, where she discovered the body.
Proudphilas’s family reported that her designer handbag, luxury watches, and other belongings were missing.

Proudphilas’s Singaporean boyfriend, Daniel, was not at the scene. Proudphilas, originally from Khon Kaen province in the Isaan region, had moved into the condominium with her boyfriend two months ago. They had not bought the property but were renting it.

The friend informed police that Daniel and Proudphilas often engaged in heated arguments, which frequently escalated into domestic violence. This led her family and friends to suspect that the Singaporean man may have been involved in her death.
Police reviewed security camera footage from the condominium’s lift to track Daniel’s movements. The footage showed the couple leaving their room together at 6.42pm on March 23, with Proudphilas returning alone at 9.17pm.

On Monday, March 24, Daniel arrived at the condominium at 12.12am. The Singaporean man was later seen leaving the condominium with his belongings at 3.17pm on Tuesday, March 25, departing in a black Mercedes-Benz.
Police traced the car’s registration plate and found that it was registered to a Thai man named Panupong, who had already passed away.
Officers have not yet classified the case as murder, as they are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
