Police arrest two men with drugs worth thousands of baht

Police from the Metropolitan Bureau arrested two men involved in drug trafficking after they parked a car containing illicit substances and returned to deliver them to clients.
A large quantity of drugs, including methamphetamine pills, ecstasy, ketamine, and heroin, was seized. At 8.30pm on March 31, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, along with several other officials, led the operation resulting in the arrest of 29 year old Jirayu and a 17 year old, referred to as A, with a haul of 400,000 methamphetamine pills, 800 ecstasy tablets, 100 grammes of ketamine, and approximately 17.70 grammes of heroin.
The arrest took place near Rangsit-Pathum Thani Road 10 and extended to a residence on Soi 19, Rangsit-Pathum Thani Road 12, Pathum Thani province.
Before the arrests, the police had investigated a drug network operating in Bangkok and surrounding areas. They identified a brown Toyota Vios with the license plate 3 กณ1585 Bangkok as being involved in drug activities.
The car was known to be parked in Rangsit-Pathum Thani Road 10 after drug transactions. Upon discovering this information, the police planned the operation, which involved monitoring the area.
On March 31, the police observed the vehicle parked at the location, prompting them to set up surveillance. At around 10pm, Jirayu arrived on a white Honda PCX motorcycle, license plate 5 ขห 6557 Bangkok, with A riding as a passenger. They parked near the Toyota Vios, and A then entered the car and drove off towards Pathum Thani-Bang Len Road.
As police intervened, A fled on foot into Rangsit-Pathum Thani Road 12, Soi 19, but was eventually apprehended. Upon searching him, police found heroin. Subsequently, they searched the vehicle, discovering 400,000 methamphetamine pills, 800 ecstasy tablets, and 100 grammes of ketamine hidden in the car’s trunk.
Both Jirayu and A were charged with possession with intent to distribute a category one drug (ecstasy and methamphetamine) and a category two substance (ketamine), as well as heroin distribution. The suspects, along with the confiscated drugs, were handed over to investigators at Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station for further legal proceedings, reported KhaoSod.
