Get your groove on at Thailand’s biggest reggae festival, coming up next month in the beach town of Cha-am.

The Sunset Beach Music Festival 2023 will feature some of the biggest names in the industry, Thailand’s reggae and ska fans can expect to have a blast.

The festival will be held at the Baan Mai Bon Hat resort on Bang Kao Beach in Cha-am. Starting at on March 4 at 5pm, the festival will feature 13 acts across two stages, as well as 10 local and international DJs.

Headlining the event is Quino of Big Mountain, a legendary reggae artist from the United States, best known for his band’s cover of Peter Frampton’s “Baby, I Love Your Way”. Other notable artists performing include JOB 2 DO, KAI-JO BROTHERS, สิงโต นำโชค, and T-BONE, Hua Hin Today reported.

In addition to the music, there will be plenty of food and beverage vendors on-site, offering a range of options to keep festival-goers energised throughout the evening. Attendees can also choose unique mementoes from the big selection of merchandise from vendors offering souvenirs.

Cha-am is located less than 200 kilometres south of Bangkok and just 20 kilometres north of Hua Hin. The scenic coastal town is known to be quieter than Hua Hin and is popular for couples looking for romantic getaways, as well as seniors looking for peace and quiet. Bangkok dwellers needing a break from the hustle and bustle of city life also love Cha-am.

The Sunset Beach Music Festival 2023 is not the only festival coming up in Cha-am next month. A coffee and craft beer festival is also coming to Cha-am from March 17 to 19.
