According to Thai Airways’ explanation, the incident took place as the plane was taxiing in the direction of taxiway L15.
The winglet that was located on the right side of the aircraft had a collision with the tail of the EVA Air aircraft that was parked at taxiway L14. Because of the severe damage that was inflicted on the upper portion of the wing, the aircraft was rendered incapable of continuing its flight.
