Foreign driver attempts to stab Thai motorcyclist after Phuket crash

A foreign pickup driver yesterday allegedly crashed into a Thai motorcyclist on a Phuket road and attempted to stab the victim.
The Thai motorcyclist took to Facebook to seek assistance from netizens in locating the foreign pickup driver who collided with him yesterday, March 12.
He revealed that the foreigner was driving a white Ford Raptor with the registration plate กฉ 1. The foreigner was reported to be a person of colour, but the victim was unable to identify his nationality.
In part of the Facebook post, the motorcyclist revealed more about the crash.
“The foreigner hit me and attempted to flee the scene. That was not enough for him. He also tried to stab me. The incident took place outside Patong Hospital.”
The victim did not specify how the foreigner managed to escape from the scene, only stating that officers from Patong Police Station informed him that the foreign man had previously been spotted driving in the Kamala neighbourhood of Phuket but they were still unable to locate him.
The motorcyclist concluded his post by expressing his frustration, stating that foreigners in Phuket thought they were superior, but he was not afraid of them and would take revenge if he encountered the foreign man again.

The motorcyclist did not provide any further updates on the case and later deleted his post. Patong Police Station officers have also not yet made any public statements regarding the incident.
Last month, in February, a Thai TikToker complained about foreign motorists in Phuket driving recklessly and dangerously. In a video he shared, a foreign hatchback driver made a sudden U-turn, cutting off a foreign motorcyclist who was travelling at high speed.

Both parties sustained only minor injuries from the accident but netizens continued to voice their concerns in the comments section. They remarked that dangerous driving behaviour by foreign motorists had been making headlines frequently and urged the relevant authorities to take action on the matter.
