Record-breaking 96-page Gazette hits the newsstands today
PHUKET: Phuket Gazette readers are urged to make more room in their travel bag for the Phuket Gazette this week as our bumper issue hits a record-breaking 96 pages.
Leading the charge is our exclusive front page report on the new airport bus service, which is ready to launch next week and, apparently, prepared to take on the tuk-tuk and taxi drivers along its route.
Our quarterly Phuket Property Review supplement bolsters this week’s property section with an in-depth look at the impact of the huge influx of Eastern Europeans to Phuket, most notably Russians, as viewed by Phuket property expert Bill Barnett.
Our China-focused Asia Weekly, which views regional developments from the perspectives of both Asian and Western journalists, features a series of articles exploring the state of the sleeping dragon’s free-trade agreements with preferred trading partners around the bloc, as the Asean Economic Community approaches implementation in 2015.
Headlining our regular reading are top stories on the fast-approaching close of the business tax year, the boom in bookings at Laguna Shores, features on health, wealth and the ‘Krabi Krawl’, as well as sports stories covering everything from the Australian Formula 1, Six Nations Rugby and European Cup football, down to local cricket, sailing and the most recent football action at Sirikul stadium.
Oh, and don’t forget our 12 pages of classifieds hailing Phuket’s best bargains, jobs and properties.
All of this is wrapped up this week in a four-page guide to the annual Phuket international boat show (PIMEX), opening on Thursday and running through the weekend.
So if you plan on finishing your reading by Monday, you better pick up a copy of the Gazette at your local newsstand today.
Happy weekend!
