Horny Chinese couple arrested for filming public sex in Pattaya
Police yesterday arrested a horny Chinese couple for engaging in public sex and filming pornographic content on a footpath near Pattaya Walking Street. The Chinese exhibitionists claimed to have done this in several other countries previously.
A security guard sought assistance from Mueang Pattaya Police Station after witnessing the lascivious foreign couple having sex on the footpath in southern Pattaya. He decided to take photographs of their lewd behaviour as evidence for the police.
In the video, the foreign man is seen setting up a camera on a tripod and gradually removing his shirt and trousers. The woman, wearing only a shirt, later removed it as well. The couple then engaged in sexual activity in full view of both the camera and nearby Thai residents and tourists.
Police reviewed security camera footage from the area and confirmed the incident. Officers identified the couple as Chinese nationals, 67 year old Oh Zhihang and 37 year old Lin Tingting, and contacted the hotel where they were staying to summon them for questioning.
Zhihang claimed to be a photographer with a passion for nude photoshoots. He stated that he often took nude photographs in public places while travelling and had done so in many countries before.
The Chinese man said he was travelling in Thailand and wanted to create a Land of Smiles collection, unaware that such acts were illegal. He offered an apology to the Thai people and relevant officials for damaging the reputation and image of Pattaya.
The couple has been charged under Section 388 of the Criminal Code for public indecency. The penalty carries a fine of up to 5,000 baht.
This is the latest in a string of similar incidents involving foreign nationals in Pattaya. Just last week, a Russian couple was caught engaging in public sex on Pattaya Beach. They reportedly had intercourse in front of more than 50 onlookers. Some cheered the couple on while others shouted at them to stop, they ignored the pleas.
In February, a Thai man and his friends exposed the inappropriate behaviour of another foreign couple on Krating Lai Beach in Pattaya. The pair reportedly had loud sex on the rocks, drawing attention from beachgoers.
The Thai man claimed the couple was aware they were being filmed but continued their activity regardless.
