Thai-British woman escapes attempted rape by condo manager
Suspect claims invading victim's room and striping naked only to borrow phone charger

A Thai-British woman narrowly escaped an attempted rape by a condominium manager in Pathum Thani province. The suspect reportedly entered her room, immediately undressed, and took a shower before trying to trick the victim into having sexual intercourse.
The 21 year old victim and her 29 year old boyfriend filed a complaint with Chulalongkorn Pratunam Police Station after the incident, which took place at around 1am on July 31. The victim lived alone in the condo, and her boyfriend arrived later after she called for help.
The woman explained that the manager of the condo’s juristic team messaged her via a chat application. She was not fluent in Thai and understood the message to mean that he would come to her room to borrow a phone charger.
When the suspect arrived, the victim slightly opened the door and handed him the charger. Unexpectedly, he refused to take it, forced the door open, and entered her room.
According to the victim, the man immediately removed his clothes and entered the bathroom to take a shower. He then walked out naked and asked her to hand him a towel. Fearing for her safety, she complied.

The suspect then sat on the sofa and told her to hug him if she wanted. She tried to leave the room but was unsuccessful, so she locked herself on the balcony and contacted her boyfriend.
Her boyfriend, Nattakit, told Channel 3 in an interview that repeated phone notifications from his girlfriend woke him up. He arrived at his girlfriend’s condo at around 2am and knocked on the door several times.
The victim stated that she attempted to answer the door, but the suspect prevented her. He became angry and repeatedly asked who was coming. Still naked, he ran to the bathroom to get dressed, allowing her to open the door for her boyfriend, who then punched the suspect.

The suspect reportedly apologised and claimed that he had a fight with his own girlfriend and could not enter his room, so he came to the victim’s room to borrow a charger.
The couple then contacted the police, reporting that the bathroom smelled of cigarettes and another unidentified substance, which they suspected to be drugs.
Police have not yet provided any update on the drug test or the legal action taken against the condo manager.
