5 movie theatres in Bangkok temporarily close

Yesterday, Major Cineplex stated it was closing 5 of its movie theatre locations in Bangkok. They will stay closed until July 25. The move is a precautionary measure against Covid.

The movie Major Cineplex theatres closing are:

  1. Ratchayothin
  2. Rangsit
  3. Pin Klao
  4. Sukhumvit
  5. Esplanade

Certain establishments are still open inside the shopping centre, however. They will still be closed at 8 pm. Further, the “non-lockdown” that includes a heavily suggested curfew from 9 pm to 4 am, restricted transportation, and saw the closure of multiple department stores, makes the closures of some movie theatres hardly surprising.

For those seeking new content, Black Widow can be streamed on Disney+, and sock puppets are still easily made, provided you do not put on a show for a group of people (inside that is, although streaming it with a group of performers may get you in trouble).
