A surprise encounter with a peacock left a Thai woman shocked as the bird unexpectedly attacked her luxury car. The incident, captured on video and shared on TikTok by user @2alessandra9, shows the peacock jumping and scratching the vehicle.

The video, posted yesterday, features the woman’s high-end van parked by the roadside. Suddenly, a peacock appears, staring intently at the side of the car before aggressively pecking and clawing at it, leaving noticeable scratches. The bird was eventually shooed away.

Since its upload, the video has garnered a significant amount of attention and comments. Many online users humorously suggested that the peacock might have seen its reflection in the car and mistook it for a rival, leading to the attack.

“The peacock probably thought its reflection was another peacock, that’s why it attacked.”

Another interesting twist to the story is that some viewers took the car’s registration number as a lucky charm, believing it might be a sign for the next lottery draw.

The Thai woman who shared the video on TikTok expressed her astonishment and mild frustration at the unexpected damage to her car. However, she also seemed to take the incident in stride, joining in the light-hearted banter in the comments.

The car owner captioned the video, accompanied by a mix of laughing and crying emojis to convey her mixed emotions.

“Parked my car, and a peacock decided to peck and scratch it.”

The peacock’s behaviour also raised some questions about how to prevent such occurrences in the future. Some viewers suggested that covering reflective surfaces or using deterrents might help in avoiding similar incidents, reported KhaoSod.

In related news, in a startling spectacle that has riled residents of Nonthaburi, a local in a townhouse village has been regularly feeding pigeons in front of his home every morning for the past year. This action sparked concern among locals, as the germs and mess generated by the birds have posed health risks to many residents in the area.
