The Voice Foundation is urgently seeking new homes for 28 small-sized dogs, all named after Thai provinces, following the death of their owner in Khlong Sam Wa district, Bangkok. The story has captivated the public, with the foundation’s unique naming scheme for the dogs catching widespread attention.

The dogs were discovered after a concerned neighbour noticed the absence of their 62 year old owner, Attapol, who had not been seen leaving his home, nor had his car moved for several days.

Emergency services were alerted and, upon arrival, discovered Attapol’s lifeless body lying face down on his bed, without any signs of assault. Police believe he passed away from natural causes, possibly over a week before his discovery.

The Voice Foundation, which has also rescued other cats and dogs awaiting adoption, shared pictures of the 28 dogs on their Facebook page. The posts quickly attracted potential adopters, charmed by the dogs’ unique names and touching backstories.

Alongside these newly rescued dogs, the foundation houses other animals with equally diverse and affectionate names like Sanny, Mee Tang, Saifon, and Dokmai.

The foundation hopes that the public’s interest will turn into swift adoptions, giving these dogs a second chance at a loving home. As the search for new owners continues, the memory of Attapol and his beloved companions lives on, with each dog carrying a piece of his legacy in their distinctive names, reported Thai PBS World.

In related news, a devastating incident occurred on a cockfighting farm on June 26 when 70 fighting cocks were killed by a pack of stray dogs, causing a financial loss of 60,000 baht. The owner expressed frustration over the abandonment of the dogs by their previous owner.
