BMW super-bike and local motorcyclist’s high-speed collision results in 400,000 baht repair bill

A high-speed collision between a BMW super-bike and a local motorcyclist resulted in a massive repair bill. The accident, which was captured and shared on TikTok by the user @aof_823, occurred yesterday. The super-bike rider, who was held responsible for the crash by the police, was given a repair estimate of 400,000 baht by the BMW service centre.

The video shared by @aof_823 showed a local motorcyclist’s bike lying on its side at an intersection. A group of people were seen trying to lift the bike, while the BMW bike, which had suffered extensive damage, was parked nearby.

The rider of the BMW bike also sustained injuries, including a dislocated shoulder and several scrapes. The local motorcyclist also had visible injuries.

The post sparked a flurry of comments and opinions. The BMW rider explained the circumstances leading up to the accident, stating that he had been travelling at around 40 kilometres per hour and had seen the local motorcyclist approaching from a distance.

The local rider, who had been travelling on the left, suddenly made a right turn, cutting off the BMW rider and resulting in the collision.

Despite his account, the police held the BMW rider at fault. The service centre estimated the repair cost for the damaged BMW bike to be around 400,000 baht. The rider expressed relief at having insurance, and surprise at the sudden turn made by the local motorcyclist.
