All good… but it’d be better if you just publish the prices instead of collecting people’s personal information with no real reason.

Very Useful information, thank you for the same. One question though does the insurance also provides cover for travellers with Pre- exsisting conditions apart from providing Covid cover? Kindly clarify.
    Thank you.

    A word of warning.
I applied for an insurance that specifically covered medical expenses associated with an eventual Corona infection. It cost 5,000b for level 1 starter.
Then when I looked at the small print in paragraphs 29 and 30 I saw that Corona was specifically excluded! and in para 30, any pandemic was excluded!!
I’m sure this magazine, Thaiger, with its good reputation, can be relied upon.
Although it is as always worth checking the small print before signing up to any scheme, n’est-ce pas.

Max-As far as i can see it only includes Covid insurance which is a mandatory requirement. Health/travel insurance would be up to you and your responsible for arranging it. It was the $100,000/40,000 Covid/health requirement but the $40,000 health insurance is no longer mandatory.

Copy and pasted from Thai embassy-4. Copy of insurance policy which covers COVID and no less than 100,000 USD – please print the insurance certificate and all pages of the terms and conditions on the COVID coverage and medical benefits (some people were refused to board the flight because they could not show that their insurance meet this requirement)

    I hope that helps

“Comprising of” is not a thing.

The package consists of three things. It comprises those three things. It is even composed of them, if you like.

Sorry that one of my first comments is peevish. Thanks for the news and insights.

Wayno, not being able to board a flight due to a flawed insurance doc when so many fly in on faked Covid Negative certs, is a hilarious conundrum to find yourself in. I wonder if “ clarity in the Thai market” will ever come into effect given a long standing cultural aversion to generalities.

As it is , ‘Sawat-dee bee mai’ friends. Stay safe. I fear this Viral-Storm is far from over. Once upon a time I was trained to read contracts and I whole-heartedly agree with Thaiger….always read ever word in any contract, both sides of every page, especially an insurance contract. In Law , similar words exposed to litigation can mean wildly disparate things.
