Thai man hunts for ex-girlfriend after 200,000 baht theft (video)
A Thai man took to social media to search for his ex-girlfriend after she stole cash and valuables worth nearly 200,000 baht from his home in Bangkok.
The victim, 27 year old Ton, shared security camera footage of the theft and a picture of his 21 year old ex-girlfriend named Ploy on his Facebook page on July 24 with a few words revealing the alleged crime.
“Missing person! This woman stole from me and my family. She stole 18,100 baht in cash, two gold necklaces worth about 90,000 baht, a gold ring worth about 20,000 baht, a diamond ring worth about 65,000 baht, and five Buddhist amulets. It’s enough. I’m done with this woman. The more I love her, the more I feel hurt.”
Ploy was seen wearing a long black sweater and long trousers. She grabbed a key from a drawer outside Ton’s home, which operated as a grocery store, and disappeared into the house for about a minute. She returned the key to the same place, checked if anyone had witnessed her theft, and left the home.
Ton later revealed that Ploy also took his car, a silver Honda Jazz. He urged netizens to contact him if they found Ploy or had any useful information because he and his family were in trouble after the losses.
Ton had one necklace left and attempted to pawn it for daily expenses after the loss, only to find out that his gold was counterfeit. He believed Ploy exchanged the authentic one with the fake one while he was sleeping.

Ton updated his post revealing that Ploy’s new boyfriend contacted him and revealed that Ploy stole his piggy bank and gold before disappearing. Ton added that Ploy also cheated others and tricked him and his family into paying off her 300,000 baht debt.
Channel 3 reported that Ton and Ploy were in a relationship for about four years and broke up in April because Ploy had an affair with another man. However, they were still friends, and Ploy still came to Ton’s home.
Ploy stole cash from Ton and his family members multiple times before but the family did not check the CCTV and did not expect that Ploy was the thief. They began to check CCTV footage after the recent theft, which caused a huge loss to them.
The media reported that Ploy had quite a lot of followers on her TikTok account because of her pretty looks and her luxurious lifestyle.
Ton filed a complaint against his ex-girlfriend at Nimitmai Police Station but the officers had not yet provided an update on the case.
