Heavy rains, thundershowers predicted nationwide
Thailand’s Meteorological Department says the southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea and Thailand is getting stronger today, while the low pressure area covers upper Vietnam. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the North, the Northeast, the Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South. People should prepare for severe conditions. Northern region
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 24-27 degrees and highs of 36-38 degrees C.
Northeastern region
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26°C and highs of 33-35°C.
Central region
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 25-26°C, highs of 35-37°C.
Eastern region
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 70% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 24-27°C, highs of 32-35°C. Waves a metre high, and 2 metres during thundershowers.
Southern region (east coast)
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 24-26°C, highs of 33-36°C. Waves a metre high 2 metres during thundershowers.
Southern region (west coast)
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 70% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-25 degrees, highs of 29-34°C. Waves a metre high, 2 metres during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 24-26°C, highs of 34-37°C.
