2 motorbike riders killed in Bangkok after woman allegedly falls asleep behind the wheel

A Bangkok woman allegedly fell asleep while driving near Benjakitti Park toward Asok and crashed into multiple vehicles, killing 2 motorbike riders and injuring 2 other people.

Thong Lor police reviewed the woman’s dash camera footage from her Toyota Yaris and say the car hit a Honda Mio, then a Honda PCX and then another bike. Photos from the accident show the Yaris smashed into an SUV.

Police say they found 42 year old Sakhon, who was driving the Honda Mio, and 29 year old Theerapong, who was a Grab Food delivery driver on the Honda PCX, dead at the scene. Those injured were taken to nearby hospitals.

Police say they are still investigating. No charges have been made.
