Prince Harry’s admiration for Jeremy Corbyn vilified by British establishment

The vilification of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle by the British tabloids continues to gather pace on the back of a new book written by the Duke of Sussex with the revelation that he backed former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Led by the Daily Mail, which has a particular axe to grind after the High Court in London last year found them guilty of libelling the royal couple, the British tabloid provides hateful updates on Harry and Meghan on an almost hourly basis.

Last month Prince Harry and Princess Meghan faced a storm of animosity from the British tabloids over the Netflix series Harry and Meghan. This month the Sussexes are facing a barrage of criticism regarding the upcoming publication of a memoir by Harry called Spare, out on January 11.

Insights into the controversial autobiography have already been leaked to the tabloid press, and their faux outrage is palpable. It appears they won’t be happy until one or both of them suffer the same fate as Prince Harry’s mother, Diana, the Princess of Wales.

The book reveals a number of grievances within the Royal Family and allegedly claims that both Prince William and Prince Harry urged their father not to marry his long-time mistress, Camilla, labelled an evil stepmother.

Another incident that has whipped up the holier-than-though British press into a frenzy is an alleged claim that William struck Harry. Imagine that, brothers fighting.

According to the book, Harry alleges that his brother grabbed his collar, ripped his necklace, and knocked him to the floor at his London cottage.

The argument between the two, as described in the book, was allegedly sparked by William making critical comments about Meghan, including calling her “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.” Harry also claims that his brother was “parrot[ing] the press narrative” as the argument became more heated.

Spare also reveals that Harry dabbled in drugs while at Eton College.

According to Harry, he was offered cocaine when he was 17 and admits to taking the drug on other occasions, although he did not find it enjoyable.

He states that he took it because he wanted to feel different, and at the time he was a 17 year old boy who was willing to try anything that would disrupt the status quo.

Harry also mentions smoking cannabis in a bathroom at Eton College while he was a student there, with police officers serving as his bodyguards patrolling outside the building.

The book also gives an insight into his life in the army serving as a helicopter pilot in Afghanistan in 2012-13 and the regret of killing 25 people.

He is allegedly quoted as saying…

“It wasn’t a statistic that filled me with pride but nor did it leave me ashamed. When I found myself plunged in the heat and confusion of combat, I didn’t think of those 25 as people. They were chess pieces removed from the board. Bad people eliminated before they could kill good people.”

But perhaps the most unforgivable act of Prince Harry’s life was forming an unlikely friendship with former Labour Party leader and lifelong socialist Jeremy Corbyn.

The press’ fake indignation that Harry dares to step outside of the establishment and have a political opinion is contemptible, especially as the jam-making pacifist is a well-known anti-monarchist.

But the 38 year old prince says he was genuinely moved by Corbyn’s policies when the life-long anti-racist campaigner was leader of the opposition. Prince Harry admitted he was ready to endorse him before being allegedly blackmailed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

“I planned to make a public statement in support of Jeremy Corbyn but Buckingham Palace found out and threatened me with various things.

“It was only when the press office forced my elderly grandmother to get on her knees and beg me to keep quiet that I gave in.

“I deeply regret not publicly supporting Corbyn to this day.”
