A 37 year old man has been arrested for violently attacking a 24 year old female factory worker, causing her severe injuries. The incident occurred late at night on a secluded road in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand.
Police detained Pitak at his residence in Ban Pong, Ratchaburi Province. He was found along with the black Honda Wave motorcycle and the clothes he wore during the assault. The attack took place on the night of July 27, when Pitak followed the woman on his motorcycle as she was returning home from work.
The victim, referred to as A, was riding her motorcycle along a canal road when Pitak kicked her vehicle, causing it to crash. He then attempted to rob and sexually assault her by dragging her into a nearby forest.
Fortunately, a passerby interrupted the attack, prompting Pitak to flee. However, the victim sustained critical injuries, including a brain haemorrhage, and remains in the ICU with paralysis on her right side.

Following his confession, Pitak was charged with drug-related offences and handed over to investigators at Ban Pong Police Station. He is also facing charges of causing grievous bodily harm and robbery at Tha Maka Police Station.
The arrest followed an intensive investigation by the Kanchanaburi Provincial Police and Ban Pong Police Station. The police pieced together evidence, leading them to Pitak’s home, where they found the motorcycle and clothing that matched witness descriptions from the night of the attack, reported KhaoSod.
