The court issued arrest warrants for the leader of the Kamnan Nok gang and his associate, who are accused of firing 30 shots into a Toyota Camry over a dispute involving 600,000 methamphetamine pills. Police are expanding their investigation to apprehend all involved parties.

Yesterday, October 3, the investigation, supervised by Praphat Mangkhang, Deputy Commander of Samut Prakan Provincial Police, led to the submission of evidence to the Samut Prakan Provincial Court. Consequently, arrest warrants 904/2567 and 905/2567, dated October 3, were issued for Namchok, also known as 27 year old Kamnan Nok, and 19 year old Wiriya.

They face charges including premeditated murder, attempted premeditated murder, unauthorised possession of firearms and ammunition, and discharging a firearm in a public area without justifiable cause.

The suspects fled the area shortly after the incident, prompting the investigative team to launch an extensive manhunt. Namchok, the gang leader, is considered highly dangerous. The gang used multiple types of military-grade firearms in their attack.

The investigation revealed that Wiriya, a friend of Kyu—one of the five individuals in the targeted Camry—was contacted to identify Namchok’s location. Kyu, unaware of Wiriya’s affiliation with Namchok, trusted him and reached out for information. Wiriya then relayed the information to Namchok, who subsequently gathered his associates and weapons to ambush the group.

The ambush took place in Soi Khlong Bang Na. As Kyu’s group arrived in the white Toyota Camry, Namchok’s gang opened fire. Following the initial attack, Namchok pursued the Camry on a motorcycle driven by Wiriya, firing several more rounds.

Reports indicate that Namchok had a falling out with a major drug dealer in northeastern Thailand, involving the 600,000 pills. A contract was allegedly placed to capture Namchok through Jo, who organised a team to abduct him.

The plan involved a white Toyota Camry to identify Namchok and a Mitsubishi Wagon for the abduction. However, Wiriya’s role as an informant for Namchok allowed him to anticipate the plan and preemptively strike, reported KhaoSod.

The police continue to extend their investigation and issue additional arrest warrants to ensure all accomplices are apprehended and brought to justice.
