Blake Lively describes discomfort with husbands’ Deadpool scenes

Dating an actor can seem unimaginable for many, especially considering the intimate scenes they often perform with others. For Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, this reality is a frequent part of their lives.

As major movie stars, both have had numerous on-screen romances. Reynolds, known for his role in Deadpool, and Lively, starring in films like The Age of Adaline, have both shared many a kiss with co-stars.

Lively has previously expressed her discomfort with some of her husband’s scenes. She recounted an experience to Jimmy Fallon where she was on a plane with her baby, surrounded by passengers watching Deadpool.

“It’s kind of torture these days because I’m on a plane, and everywhere I look there’s my husband in a sex montage throughout the holidays with another woman,” she said, referring to a scene involving mashed potatoes. “It’s lonely, it’s a cruel and unusual form of torture.”

Reynolds, on the other hand, appears less affected by Lively’s on-screen interactions. In a 2017 interview with Elle magazine, he remarked, “I don’t mind that as much. I don’t mean that in a creepy way. What people don’t realize is, there are 50 or 60 tired, hungry, overworked crew members standing directly behind them.”

He also acknowledged the potential discomfort his Deadpool scenes might cause, predicting issues with them being played on planes.

The couple, who met while filming Green Lantern, have been together since 2011 and married since 2012. At the time of their meeting, both were involved with other people— Ryan Reynolds with Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively with Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley. Despite the challenges, their relationship shows that dating an actor isn’t impossible for them.
