Englishman’s late bloom: Loses v-card at 40, breaks social media with his virgin voyage
A 40 year old Englishman’s unusual story recently went viral on social media after the popular web forum, Reddit, revealed that he lost his virginity just four months ago.
The anonymous gentleman posted under the name GuaranteeThin4918, on December 1, and invited users to ask their questions.
“I just lost my virginity at age 40, four months ago. It’s crazy, ask me anything!”
The virginal narrative might be a common human experience but the fact that made this story viral is the age at which the man lost his virginity. Statistically, the average age for men in England to come of age is around 17 years old. Therefore, the experience of the 40 year old man has piqued the interest of many netizens.
“My life is kinda like Ed Norton’s character in Fight Club, where there is nothing overly wrong with him just stuck in the monotony of life, not sure how to move forward. I needed a massive jolt to restart my life, which happened.
The unnamed man further explained that he had kept his virginity not out of religious devotion or anything extraordinary but because he had been busy working and had seldom interacted with people around him.
“I am 190 centimetres tall and weigh about 90 kilogrammes. I dress well and am self-sufficient financially. At one point, I felt my life should be like a normal person’s, so I decided to start looking for a relationship, and it just happened recently.”
The majority of netizens who responded to the post were congratulatory, but some asked why he didn’t simply solve his sexual frustration by hiring services.
“Couldn’t you just hire a lady of the night for US$150 and solve your virginity problem like 15 years ago?”
He responded by saying that paying for it would be cheating
“And, it goes against my ego to not have it be hard.”
The 40 year old man also mentioned that he wasn’t sure whether he regretted the lost years but is now eagerly anticipating his second sexual encounter after revealing his first experience was amazing.
“The sex was wild as the woman was in town for business, so my first time was also an affair.
“She liked that I’m a big physical guy, once she took her clothes off, everything clicked and we tore up the hotel room.”
