One month old baby killed in Phuket road accident

A one month old baby girl has died in a road accident in Thalang.
The Thalang Police were notified about the incident in the early morning yesterday on Thepkrasattri Road southbound in Baan Naiklam, Srisoonthorn in Thalang.
Police and emergency respondents arrived to find a trailer on the side of the road. The driver was 48 year old Sittipon Jannubin from Surin and he was waiting for police at the scene.
In the middle of the road was a damaged white Honda Brio whose driver was 29 year old man Suppapon Taopet from Ayutthaya. The two passengers were Nongnut Taopet and a one month old baby girl Nalinnipa Taopet in the back seat of the car.
The driver of a silver Honda was 48 year old woman Chanitnan Panyawai from Phuket.
The Thalang Police report that the white Honda Brio was trying to change lanes, into the left lane but the car collided into the rear of the parked trailer on the side of the road.
The silver car was travelling behind the white car and was unable to avoid the collision. The one month old baby girl inside the white car sustained serious injuries and was later pronounced dead at Vachira Phuket Hospital.
Police have conducted an alcohol breath test on the drivers but no alcohol was found.
