Officers at Chalong Police Station in Phuket are searching for a Kyrgyzstan boxer after he allegedly raped a 19 year old Thai worker at a sauna near his boxing gym.

The 19 year old Thai victim filed a complaint at Chalong Police Station yesterday, August 21, immediately after the sexual assault took place. She explained that the mixed martial arts (MMA) boxer, 28 year old Sultan, used an ice bath service at the sauna where she was working after he finished his daily training.

The victim said she prepared the ice bath for the boxer in a sauna room and returned to the reception counter waiting to welcome other customers.

Sultan informed the victim after he finished using the sauna room, so the victim went into the room to clean it. Sultan allegedly followed the victim into the sauna room and suddenly kissed her on the mouth.

Sultan then walked to the bathroom near the sauna room and asked the victim to follow him. The victim said she followed Sultan because she thought there was an issue in the bathroom. However, Sultan kissed her again and sexually assaulted her.

According to the victim, she was forced to provide oral sex before she was raped. Sultan reportedly said he felt pain in his back and stopped the sexual assault but he said he would return to the sauna for sex the next day. The boxer allegedly told the victim not to reveal the sexual assault to anyone.

After Sultan left the sauna on his motorcycle, the victim rushed to the police station to report the sexual assault. Police have not yet updated the public on their next step of the investigation but Sultan is believed to be still in the province.

In a related report, the Muay Thai boxer in Phuket, 27 year old Hasen Wahani, also known as Saifon Rattanaphanu, turned himself in on August 16 after he murdered his father and fled to hide in the mountain forest.

The motive for the murder was suspected to be drug use and his stress over his career. His Muay Thai gym sought a budget for him to travel to Bangkok to continue his training but he refused to go despite persuasion from his parents. He chose to attend a party with friends and returned home to commit the crime.

Police conducted a drug test on him, but the result of the test was not made public.
