A middle-aged security guard caused a ruckus in the serene neighbourhood of Eakmongkol 4 Village in Soi Khao Talo, Pattaya when he lost control of his senses due to suspected heavy alcohol consumption. The incident occurring yesterday, May 7 shortly after 9pm, was swiftly reported to Pattaya police and officers were promptly dispatched to the scene.

Upon their arrival, it became apparent that the situation was dire. The security guard, who was employed by the village, was visibly intoxicated and his actions were causing distress to the residents.

Shirtless and in a state of wild frenzy, he was hurling abuse and random objects at passersby, while also posing a direct threat to the police officers by attempting to attack them.

In light of the escalating situation, police reinforcements were summoned to subdue the security guard. The operation was carried out without inflicting any harm on anyone, a testament to the police’s professional handling of the incident.

Prasert, a resident of the villages, describes the security guard as generally hardworking and well-behaved, not involved in any sort of trouble prior to this incident.

He further suggested that it was likely the security guard had consumed an excessive amount of alcohol, which could have prompted his violent behaviour. But whether the guard was drinking on the job remains uncertain.

The Pattaya police are currently probing into the incident. They are also contemplating whether to press charges against the security guard for his actions given that he had no prior incidents.

Given the severity of the situation, uncertainty looms over whether he will retain his position as a security guard in the village, reported Pattaya News.

As the Pattaya police investigation progresses, it is hoped that a clearer picture of the drunken man’s situation will emerge to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future.
