Thai sub-district chief allegedly asks for sex from married woman

A married Thai woman accused a sub-district chief in the Isaan province of Nakhon Ratchasima of sexually harassing her by openly asking for sex in front of others while dining at a restaurant last year.
The 37 year old woman, identified only as Tuk, is seeking justice after the accused official remains in his position despite her complaint. She revealed that the incident took place on December 9, but the suspect did not face any disciplinary action even after more than five months.
Tuk explained that she visited the restaurant that afternoon with the accused chief, two male community leaders, and two other women. She sat next to the sub-district chief, who consumed alcohol during the meal.
According to Tuk, the intoxicated chief kissed her on the cheek, prompting her to express anger. Undeterred, he continued to harass her 15 minutes later. The chief allegedly pulled her close and said…
“Pull up your shirt so I can see your navel. Does your husband lick your navel? Wearing a shirt like that really turns me on.”
Tuk said the disturbing behaviour did not stop there. The chief then said…
“Let me be direct. I want to f*ck you, Tuk.”

Tuk said she angrily rejected him and attempted to leave at around 5pm. However, the chief reportedly asked her to stay and allow him to lick her nipples before she left.
All of the obscene remarks were made in front of others at the dining table, leaving Tuk deeply embarrassed and humiliated.

She returned home immediately and told her husband about the incident before filing an official complaint against the chief on December 13. Tuk also reported the harassment to the relevant government department, urging them to remove him from office.
Tuk claimed that police questioned her and the witnesses three times but no action has been taken against the chief.

Tuk added that the same official was previously accused of sexually assaulting a woman in 2016 but the victim dropped the case after reportedly receiving over 100,000 baht in compensation.
Locals also sent Tuk evidence that he regularly gambled with them.

Tuk stressed that his behaviour was completely unacceptable and that urgent disciplinary measures were needed to prevent him from repeating such actions with others.
District Chief Somphong Mansarn, who oversees the committee investigating the case, told Channel 7 that the case was not being delayed. He assured the public that justice would be served within 120 days.
