Thai man’s murder-suicide after affair with teenage sister-in-law revealed
Suspect kills mother-in-law and injures 2 of wife's family members before taking his life

A Thai man committed murder-suicide in Pathum Thani province yesterday, September 2, after he was caught having an affair with his 13 year old sister-in-law. The incident resulted in two deaths and three injuries.
Officers from Khlong Ha Police Station received reports of a murder-suicide, prompting an investigation at a house in Soi Chaloemphrakiat 2, Khlong Luang district, Pathum Thani, at about 10pm last night.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the first body outside the one-storey house. The deceased, 46 year old Thatsanee, sustained two gunshot wounds to her armpit. Inside the house, they found two injured victims, a 43 year old man named Chaiwat, who is Thatsanee’s younger brother, and the 13 year old girl.
In a truck parked outside the house, officers found the suspect, 35 year old Kiattisak, in critical condition from a gunshot wound to the head. A rescue team performed CPR and rushed him to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injury shortly after.
Another injured victim, 36 year old Anurak, sustained a gunshot wound but managed to ride his motorcycle to Khlong Luang Hospital for treatment before officers arrived.

Kiattisak’s wife, 26 year old Nannaphat, told police that she had been married to him for seven years and they had one son, who is five years old. She and other family members had recently discovered that Kiattisak was romantically involved with her 13 year old sister.
Nannaphat attempted to find evidence to resolve their complicated relationship. According to her, she and Kittisak arranged a meeting at Kittisak’s older brother’s house in Ayutthaya to discuss matters earlier that day.

Nannaphat said that Kiattisak did not show up at the scheduled time, so she travelled back to her home in Pathum Thani. Shortly before arriving, Kiattisak called her and confessed that he had shot her mother, uncle, and sister.
When Nannaphat arrived, she heard another gunshot and found Kiattisak with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in his truck.
All three injured victims remain under treatment at Thanyaburi Hospital and another nearby hospital. Their condition was not mentioned in the report.
