Thai man arrested for drugging and raping men to create porn videos
Sleep-rape videos and sleeping pills sold and advertised on X application

Police yesterday, June 9, arrested a Thai man in the central province of Nakhon Pathom for drugging and raping multiple men to produce pornographic videos, which he then sold via the X application (formerly Twitter).
Thailand’s Internet Crimes Against Children (TICAC) task force discovered an X account advertising the sale of rape pornography. The advertisement read, “Selling sleeping pills and sleep-rape videos.” The videos shared by the account featured sexual acts involving gay men.
One of the videos reportedly showed a man spiking another person’s drink with sleeping pills before raping him while he was unconscious under the influence of the drug.
The X user instructed interested buyers to contact him via the LINE messaging application, including his LINE ID in the advertisement.
Officers traced the suspect’s identity through the social media account and identified him as a 39 year old Thai man named Kittiphat, residing in the Samphran district of Nakhon Pathom.

Police raided his residence and seized three mobile phones allegedly used to store pornographic videos and communicate with clients.
The evidence found on the devices led to Kittiphat being charged with four offences including:

- Section 287(1) of the Criminal Code: Producing, possessing, importing, exporting, or distributing indecent materials such as documents, images, films, or recordings. The penalty is up to three years’ imprisonment, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both.
- Section 287(2): Trading or engaging in trade involving such indecent items. The penalty is up to three years’ imprisonment, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both.
- Section 287(3): Advertising or disseminating information about such indecent items. The penalty is up to three years’ imprisonment, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both.
- Section 14(4) of the Computer Crime Act: Importing indecent content into a publicly accessible computer system. The penalty is up to five years’ imprisonment and a fine of up to 100,000 baht.

Police are continuing their investigation to identify the other men appearing in the videos, to arrest further suspects involved in the illicit operation or ensure justice for any victims of Kittiphat’s actions.
