A Thai couple in the northern province of Phetchabun made and sold pornography videos of themselves and their 10 year old son online, leading to their arrest on Saturday, February 15.

Officers from the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division discovered child pornography videos on a website and in a LINE group chat and conducted a further investigation to trace the source of the videos. The videos reportedly showed the couple engaging in sexual activity with their young son.

The 32 year old Thai man, Thammasorn, was identified as the owner of the LINE group. A large sum of money, believed to be membership fees, was transferred to Thammasorn’s bank account. Due to the suspicious income, officers raided Thammasorn’s home in Chon Buri, where he confessed to his illegal operation.

Thammasorn confessed that he bought child pornography videos from a 27 year old Thai man, Thotsaporn, for 1,000 baht each. He then created a group to distribute the explicit videos to members who paid a 500 baht membership fee.

Thammasorn added that he also impersonated the woman in the videos to attract members. More than 1,000 people applied for membership within two weeks of the group’s creation. He earned approximately 300,000 baht from this criminal activity.

Officers then raided Thotsaporn’s house in the eastern province of Rayong. Thotsaporn confessed that he had previously paid for membership to a group run by a Thai woman, the 35 year old Wannipha, to access the pornography she created with her husband and their 10 year old son.

Further investigation revealed that Wannipha resided in a house in Phetchabun province with her 43 year old husband, Uthen, and their 10 year old son, who was featured in the videos. Police then issued arrest warrants for the couple and arrested them at their home yesterday, Sunday, February 16.

Several million baht had been transferred to Wannipha’s account. She confessed to her actions but her husband did not. Uthen admitted to engaging in sexual activity with his son and recording videos of the acts but claimed he had never sold them.
