Suphan Buri man arrested for drug-induced chaos at home
Police in Suphan Buri arrested a 29 year old man after he caused chaos at his home after a drug-induced frenzy. Despite having been imprisoned 17 times previously, his family was exasperated by his continued drug use after being released from prison one year ago.
The incident occurred yesterday, December 10, when local administrative officers and a special task force for drug suppression and social order were called to the scene. The man, identified as Anucha, was causing a disturbance at his family home.
His relatives, frightened by his erratic behaviour, had recorded a video and reported it to the police, seeking their intervention.
Anucha was apprehended while riding his motorcycle into the house. Upon a search, officers discovered 10 methamphetamine (meth) pills hidden in a brown backpack and a knife underneath the seat of his motorcycle. Anucha claimed the knife was for personal grooming, specifically for cleaning his nails.
He admitted to the possession of the meth pills.
“The suspect confessed that the drugs were his,” an officer stated.
Anucha was then taken for a urine test, which revealed the presence of drugs, indicated by a purple hue. Police charged him with possession of a Category 1 narcotic (meth) without permission and drug use without authorisation. He was subsequently handed over to the Mueang Suphan Buri Police Station for further legal proceedings.
The investigation revealed Anucha’s troubled past. He had been detained four times in a juvenile facility and imprisoned 13 times in an adult facility, all for drug-related offences. After serving his most recent sentence, he was released a year ago, yet he continued his drug habits unabated.
His drug use often led to aggressive outbursts, with him brandishing a knife and threatening those around him, which terrified his family.
“He would sometimes sit in the middle of the house, openly using meth, without regard for anyone,” a family member disclosed.
The presence of children in the household heightened the family’s concern for safety, ultimately prompting them to reach out to the police for assistance, reported KhaoSod.
